HSE Engineer - Construction Projects, Abu Dhabi

About the role

Lötschberg General Contracting LLC (LGCC) is looking for a qualified HSE Engineer to join its project team in Abu Dhabi. The role suits safety professionals with construction industry experience who want to maintain high health, safety and environmental standards across project sites. The successful candidate will implement HSE policies, ensure compliance with UAE safety regulations, carry out inspections and audits and promote a strong safety culture. Candidates with TAQA project experience and ADDC competency will have an added advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies and procedures across project sites.
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments and safety audits.
• Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations and project safety standards.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions and awareness sessions.
• Investigate incidents, determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Make sure employees follow safe work practices and use PPE correctly.
• Identify unsafe acts and conditions and coordinate corrective measures.
• Maintain HSE records, inspection reports and safety documentation.

Required profile

• 3 to 4 years of relevant HSE experience.
• NEBOSH certification is mandatory.
• TAQA or ADDC competency preferred; previous TAQA project experience is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, safety procedures and site safety requirements.
• Experience in site inspections, risk assessments and safety audits.
