HSE Executive – Occupational Health & Safety Lead

About the role

Assist the General Services Manager and HSE & Security Manager in maintaining a robust Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental (OHSE) programme across Al Tayer Motors, ensuring legal compliance and a safe work environment for people, property and assets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct HSE site inspections, audits and risk assessments on various facilities and prepare management reports.
• Maintain and update HSE documentation and databases to demonstrate Business Unit compliance.
• Attend Business Unit HSE Committee meetings, providing ISO and HSE expertise, guidance and training.
• Evaluate evacuation drills, reporting findings and recommendations for improvement.
• Deliver HSE and accident investigation training to improve incident reporting and rectification.
• Support BU HSE Committees in interpreting incidents, identifying root causes and recommending mitigation actions.
• Promote HSE awareness through Al Tayer Motors’ communication strategy.
• Manage relationships with internal clients, contractors, law‑enforcement and emergency response authorities.

Required profile

• Graduate with a tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Fire Prevention or Risk Management.
• Formal recognised fire‑safety qualification is preferred.
• 5‑7 years of experience in a large, diverse commercial environment.
• Proven experience conducting risk assessments, fire‑emergency response plans or disaster recovery.
• Experience implementing and maintaining integrated ISO standards.
• Ability to interpret and apply HSE policies, procedures and processes.
• Strong capability to deliver HSE training sessions.
