HSE Inspector – Abu Dhabi

About the role

ILF Consulting Engineers is seeking an experienced HSE Inspector to join its Abu Dhabi team and support transformative water projects across the UAE. You will be responsible for safeguarding people, assets and the environment by ensuring strict compliance with local and international HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety policies aligned with UAE laws and industry best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify hazards and define control measures.
• Perform regular safety inspections and audits to verify the effectiveness of safety measures.
• Investigate incidents, analyse root causes and recommend preventive actions.
• Deliver safety training on equipment usage, emergency procedures and safe work practices.
• Develop and manage emergency response plans for potential hazards.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, audits, assessments and training, and report HSE performance to management.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of experience managing HSE projects in the UAE or Gulf region.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Proven ability to train staff and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Prior experience with TRANSCO/TAQA transmission projects is mandatory.
