HSE Inspector (Dubai)

About the role

The HSE Inspector will ensure compliance with local, legal and international health, safety and environmental standards on site. This role involves implementing and maintaining HSE management systems, conducting inspections and promoting a safe working environment across all activities.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with local legal, contractual and project HSE regulations and communicate them to all employees.
• Conduct daily site inspections and monitor high‑risk activities for full compliance.
• Oversee risk assessments and permit‑to‑work systems, ensuring they are followed by all personnel.
• Guide workforce and subcontractors on waste segregation, reduction, reuse and recycling.
• Implement and maintain the scaffold tag system and verify its proper use.
• Perform HSE engagements with staff, recording observations in the online system.
• Inspect and record the condition of fire equipment, plant and machinery.
• Provide safe access, housekeeping, signage and enforce proper use and maintenance of PPE.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of HSE experience, preferably with established contracting firms in the GCC.
• Basic safety qualification and solid knowledge of international HSE standards and operational hazards.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions, including shift work, and to operate independently while influencing others.
• Self‑starter with strong initiative, capable of conducting risk assessments and recommending improvements.
