HSE Manager – Oil & Gas

About the role

The HSE Manager will provide technical leadership for Oil & Gas operations, ensuring compliance with Abu Dhabi regulations, international standards and AD Ports Group HSE Management System. The role drives safety culture, risk management and business continuity across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve HSE procedures, safe work instructions, standards and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi HSE regulations, Civil Defence, environmental legislation and ISO 45001/ISO 14001.
• Lead Process Safety Management initiatives, including HAZOP, PHA and Management of Change (MOC).
• Oversee permit‑to‑work systems for high‑risk activities such as hot work, confined space entry, lifting and SIMOPS.
• Conduct incident investigations, root‑cause analyses and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain and test emergency response plans, BIA and Business Continuity Plans.
• Monitor HSE performance, prepare dashboards and reports for senior management.
• Manage, coach and develop HSE engineers and promote a strong safety culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
• NEBOSH IGC, NEBOSH Diploma in Oil & Gas or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience leading HSE functions in Oil & Gas environments.
• Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi HSE regulations and international best practices.
