HSE Manager (UAE Nationals)

About the role

Provide strategic advisory support and technical expertise to the Environment, Health and Public Safety function of a leading government organization in the UAE. The role leads the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the organization’s Environment, Health and Safety Management System in line with international and local standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct gap analyses of the existing EHS Management System, develop road‑maps and prepare strategic reports for senior leadership.
• Develop, update and standardise policies, procedures, operational instructions and corrective‑action processes across all departments.
• Provide legal and technical advice, maintain risk registers, perform occupational risk assessments and support emergency preparedness.
• Lead internal audits, coordinate management review meetings and prepare for external accreditation audits.
• Participate in incident investigations, apply Human Factors principles and manage a lessons‑learned database.
• Design and deliver EHS training programmes, supervise competency development and mentor monitoring personnel.
• Research and integrate emerging technologies such as smart sensors, AI‑driven risk analysis and AR/VR training solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate and Lead Auditor qualification for ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in environment, health and occupational safety.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
