HSE Officer - Construction Projects

About the role

A leading contracting company is looking for an experienced HSE Officer to implement and monitor health, safety and environmental practices at its construction sites in Dubai, UAE. The role covers high-rise building, Riverton and villa projects, ensuring compliance with UAE safety regulations, company policies and project requirements while promoting a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures and safety plans on site
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and unsafe practices
• Ensure compliance with UAE health, safety and environmental regulations
• Run toolbox talks, safety inductions and awareness training for workers
• Monitor work permits, risk assessments and method statement compliance
• Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses and prepare reports
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment by all site personnel
• Coordinate with project teams on corrective and preventive actions
• Maintain HSE records, inspection reports and safety documentation
• Monitor emergency procedures and conduct safety audits and follow-ups

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 3+ years of experience as HSE Officer on construction projects
• Experience in high-rise, residential and villa projects preferred
• Knowledge of UAE construction safety standards and regulations
• UAE construction experience is an advantage

Required skills

• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Ability to conduct safety training and site inspections
• NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA certification preferred
