HSE Officer / Engineer – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced HSE Officer / Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team. You will support senior site leadership in implementing safety and environmental standards, ensuring compliance with both client and corporate requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Advise senior construction site representatives on ESHARP Management and Parsons SH&E processes.
• Develop site‑specific work plans, compliance programs, training and orientation plans aligned with SH&E regulations.
• Collaborate with SH&E, project and program managers to evaluate contractor safety performance.
• Audit projects and worksites against corporate and client standards, producing written audit reports.
• Implement occupational injury and incident reporting processes.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analyses and secure documentation.
• Perform trend analysis on audit findings, inspections and incident reports, delivering regular analysis reports.
• Represent the SH&E manager on project sites and during regulatory safety inspections.
• Supervise emergency response teams and first‑aid personnel in emergency and injury situations.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of HSE engineering experience in construction or related sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in HSE Engineering or a related discipline.
• Current ADPHC Practitioner Registration.
• Completed ADOSH Practitioner Course.
• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification.
• Proven ability to conduct safety audits, incident investigations and trend analyses.
