HSE Officer - Oil & Gas (Brownfield)

About the role

Careers International is recruiting an HSE Officer for brownfield Oil & Gas projects in the UAE, working under ADNOC HSE standards. The position is permanent, full-time, with a duty of 10 hours per day and a 3-month notice period. There are 10 vacancies and the salary is up to the experience.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure HSE compliance and safe work practices across brownfield Oil & Gas projects.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, risk assessments, incident investigations and HSE awareness activities.
• Coordinate with site teams and clients to maintain ADNOC HSE standards and requirements.
• Support site HSE requirements in line with ADNOC Group standards and keep HSE coverage continuous, with a suitable replacement available if the HSE personnel is absent.

Required profile

• Minimum 6+ years of relevant HSE experience; brownfield experience is mandatory.
• ADNOC / UAE / GCC experience is highly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution via a regular course.
• NEBOSH IGC / IOSH certification required.
• Complete and verifiable documentation: educational certificates, professional / HSE qualifications, experience certificates and relevant training certificates.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of HSE practices in construction, fabrication, installation and/or commissioning projects.
• Good understanding of HSE management systems and applicable HSE legislation.
• Practical knowledge of PTW, WMS, risk assessment and safe systems of work.
• Experience in HSE inspections, audits, incident investigation and root-cause analysis.
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures and H2S hazards and control measures.
• Good written and spoken English, and strong interpersonal, coordination and reporting skills.
