HSE Officer – Shipping

About the role

The HSE Officer – Shipping will support ADNOC Logistics & Services in maintaining the highest health, safety and environmental standards across its maritime operations. You will advise business units, monitor compliance, and drive continuous improvement in HSE performance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and report on Business Unit HSE work plans and performance.
• Plan and deliver HSE training, awareness campaigns and workshops.
• Conduct site inspections, HSE audits and issue work stoppages for unsafe conditions.
• Initiate incident notifications, analyse observations and close out HSE cards.
• Review risk assessments and other HSE documentation.
• Maintain action tracking for marine inspections, accidents and observations.
• Participate in HSE promotional activities and award functions.
• Collect, analyse and submit monthly HSE performance statistics, including contractor data.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in health, safety and environment roles, preferably in shipping or maritime logistics.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and ADNOC standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders.

Required skills

• Preparation of HSE reports and performance metrics.
