HSE Specialist

About the role

Worley is seeking an experienced HSE Specialist to lead health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) initiatives for a major project in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures safe delivery, compliance with HSSE goals, and supports the project from design through construction and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Champion project safety culture and lead a team of HSE professionals.
• Develop, implement and monitor HSSE plans, procedures and emergency response arrangements.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, incident investigations and root‑cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, permit‑to‑work systems and H2S safety protocols.
• Coordinate HSE input during EPC/FEED phases and manage contractor conformance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, including 5+ years in a similar senior HSE role.
• Proven experience on ADNOC, offshore, mega‑project and PMC environments.
• Strong leadership, communication and English language skills.
