Human Resources Generalist

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Human Resources Generalist to join our specialty coffee roastery and coffee‑shop business in Abu Dhabi. The role will support both the roasting and retail sides, handling day‑to‑day HR activities and helping to shape a positive, people‑focused culture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage employee onboarding, off‑boarding and maintain accurate personnel records.
• Administer benefits, leave management and payroll processing.
• Develop, interpret and implement HR policies in line with UAE labour law.
• Provide guidance on employee inquiries, performance management and employee relations.
• Coordinate recruitment and selection processes, including job posting and candidate screening.
• Support workforce planning, training initiatives and employee engagement programmes.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.

Required profile

• Strong foundational knowledge of HR and HR management principles.
• Experience with benefits administration and payroll.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle confidential information.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and capable of solving problems independently.
• Relevant academic background in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; professional HR certification is a plus.
• Prior experience in hospitality, retail or food‑and‑beverage environments, preferably in the UAE or GCC.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HR information systems (HRIS) or HR software.
• Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
