Humanities & Business Studies Teacher (Grades 7-10)

About the role

An international school in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, is looking for a Humanities and Business Studies teacher to teach Humanities in Grades 7 to 9 and Business Studies in Grade 10. The school's curriculum builds through the middle years into the IB Diploma Programme, and the teacher will lay the foundations of inquiry, analysis and critical thinking before students move into DP Business Management. The start date is August 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Humanities in Grades 7 to 9 and Business Studies in Grade 10
• Prepare students for the IB Diploma Programme Business Management course
• Work closely with colleagues across subjects in a small, supportive community

Required profile

• A recognised bachelor's degree in Humanities, Business or a related field
• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, PGDE, QTS or equivalent)
• Secondary teaching experience in Humanities and/or Business Studies
• IB Diploma experience, or a genuine enthusiasm to develop in the DP
• Leadership potential and an interest in taking on responsibility
