HVAC Technician – Dubai

About the role

The Marriott hotel in Dubai is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to ensure the comfort and safety of guests and staff. You will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of all heating, ventilation, air‑conditioning, and refrigeration systems across the property. The role requires close collaboration with the engineering team and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and maintain HVAC, air‑quality control and refrigeration equipment, including boilers, chillers and air‑handling units.
• Charge refrigeration systems, replace air filters and clean coils.
• Test and record water quality in boiler, condenser and loop systems and add chemicals to prevent corrosion.
• Operate valves to control water levels, combustion air and fuel flow.
• Perform minor plumbing and mechanical work related to HVAC equipment.
• Monitor BMS terminals, switches, valves, gauges, alarms and meters to detect leaks or malfunctions.
• Maintain a clean, safe engineering area and coordinate with other engineering staff.
• Participate in departmental meetings, training and energy‑conservation programmes.

Required profile

• Commitment to safety, fire training and accident‑free work practices.
• Ability to document work performed and spare parts used.
• Active participation in the hotel’s emergency response team and TQM processes.
• High level of hospitality, guest concern and empowerment mindset.
• Willingness to follow LSOPs, SOPs and brand standards.
• Flexibility to carry out additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.
