HVAC Technician

About the role

Careers International is hiring a full-time HVAC Technician in Dubai for its facility management team. The technician ensures the effective operation, maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in the managed facilities, combining strong technical knowledge with problem-solving skills.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections, maintenance and servicing of air conditioning units, boilers, chillers, ventilation systems and associated components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC malfunctions, identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to improve efficiency and extend equipment life.
• Repair or replace faulty parts such as compressors, motors, fans, thermostats and valves.
• Work with suppliers to source replacement parts and materials on time.
• Identify energy efficiency improvements and help implement energy-saving measures to cut operating costs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs and replacements, and generate detailed reports on system status and recommendations.
• Take part in emergency response for HVAC breakdowns and be available for on-call duty.
• Coordinate with other maintenance teams, engineers and supervisors, and communicate progress and challenges to the team and management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in HVAC systems preferred.
• Proven experience (typically 2+ years) as an HVAC Technician, preferably in facility management or a related field.
• Familiarity with UAE HVAC codes, regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills.
• Attention to detail, organisation and ability to manage several tasks in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including air conditioning, ventilation, heating and refrigeration.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC issues.
• Experience with HVAC testing equipment and tools.
