HVAC Technician

About the role

Salayel Hospitality is looking for a skilled and reliable HVAC Technician to join its Engineering team. The role covers the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of HVAC systems across the group's properties, keeping guests comfortable while meeting safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair HVAC systems including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, split units and ventilation systems
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep systems running efficiently
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and carry out corrective repairs
• Monitor temperature control systems and respond promptly to complaints and emergency breakdowns
• Maintain logs, checklists and maintenance records according to hotel SOPs
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, energy efficiency guidelines and local regulations
• Coordinate with Engineering Supervisors and external contractors when needed
• Assist during audits, inspections and annual maintenance shutdowns

Required profile

• ITI / Diploma in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical certification
• Minimum 2-4 years of HVAC experience, preferably in hotels, serviced apartments or hospitality facilities
• Physically fit and able to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
• UAE experience preferred

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls and refrigeration principles
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems related to HVAC
• Good communication skills and a guest-service mindset
