HVAC Technician – Luxury Hotel

About the role

The Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join its Engineering team. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation and air‑conditioning systems across a 5‑star luxury property.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and monitor all HVAC and related equipment within the hotel.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation, pumps, motors and split‑AC units.
• Retrieve, complete and close work orders in accordance with HotSoS procedures.
• Inspect and review plans for contracted work, and oversee external contractors.
• Operate Building Automation Systems (BAS) and ensure safe working conditions using Lockout/Tagout and PTW procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of work, P/M schedules and update work order logs.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an HVAC Technician in a luxury hotel or resort environment.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls and preventive maintenance practices.
• Good understanding of hotel operations and general civil works.
• Fluent English with strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Installation, maintenance and repair of chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation, pumps and motors.
• Experience with CCU/VRF and split‑air‑conditioning units.
• Proficiency in predictive maintenance and maintenance software applications.
• Operation of Building Automation Systems (BAS).
• Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout and Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) procedures.
