HVAC Technician – Maintenance & Repair

About the role

The HVAC Technician will provide preventative maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment supporting a USAF contract at a military base in Abu Dhabi. Working under general direction, the role involves routine tasks on a variety of systems to ensure reliable operation and compliance with environmental regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance of high‑ and low‑pressure steam heating systems.
• Install, service and repair HVAC components, including compressors, condensers, chillers, air handlers, ductwork, thermostats and package units.
• Inspect and replace belts, filters and other wear items as required.
• Mount compressor and condenser units on auxiliary equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs following written or oral instructions.
• Manage refrigerant usage, storage and disposal in accordance with Clean Air Act, CENTCOM and host‑nation regulations.
• Document refrigerant handling and adhere to the base’s refrigerant management program.
• Conduct inspections per ANSI/ASHRAE standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of relevant HVAC experience or equivalent military service.
• Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
• U.S. citizenship required for facility credentials at this location.
