HVAC/Duty Technician

About the role

The HVAC/Duty Technician is responsible for ensuring the hotel’s mechanical systems operate efficiently and safely. This role involves daily inspection, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, air‑quality, refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing equipment to support guest comfort and operational reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment.
• Conduct daily inspections of the mechanical plant and monitor property temperature.
• Calibrate controls, gauges, meters and maintain electrical and pipe systems.
• Perform routine pool and spa maintenance.
• Follow company safety policies, report hazards, and maintain professional appearance.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum three years of related HVAC or mechanical maintenance experience.
• EPA Universal Certification, HVAC Certification and a valid driver’s license.

Required skills

• HVAC system installation, repair and maintenance.
• Refrigeration and air‑quality control.
• Electrical wiring and control calibration.
• Pipe assembly, fittings and valve maintenance.
