IGW & Fixed Services Monitoring Engineer

About the role

Edara is looking for an IGW and Fixed Services Monitoring Engineer in Dubai. The role covers fault management, incident handling and technical support for monitoring teams, with escalation to second-line operations and vendor performance oversight. Candidates must complete an AI-based chat interview after applying.

Key responsibilities

• Handle troubleshooting and resolution of fault management, customer and carrier complaints, and incident handling
• Provide on-time technical support to the monitoring team and run network health checks, queries and scripts
• Escalate issues to second-line operations within contracted SLAs and follow up until resolved
• Analyse incident reports proactively to prevent issues and keep the Team Lead and Manager informed
• Maintain device and solution documentation and monitor vendor performance
• Support new project and service acceptance from SOC Operations and disaster recovery planning and testing

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Telecom or a relevant engineering stream
• Minimum 6 to 7 years of experience in IGW networks in the telecom industry
• Good customer service skills and ability to explain technical situations to non-technical people
• Ability to handle multiple complex problems in a stressful environment

Required skills

• SIP, SS7, SIGTRAN, H.248, Q.931, IP networks and routing protocols
• Network performance KPIs such as ASR, ACD, NER
• Huawei Softswitches (ATCA SoftX3000, ISBC, UMG8900) and U2000 alarm and performance monitoring
• Genband C20/CS2K, BVS and HIPCC
• ITIL framework and problem-solving
