Import Export Specialist

About the role

You will support Shafaq International Trading in managing the import and export of goods and technology, ensuring full compliance with all relevant government laws and regulations. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams and external authorities to maintain smooth trade operations.

Key responsibilities

• Classify goods and technology for import and export, obtain necessary licenses, and maintain required documentation.
• Prepare and compile reports on trade activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Analyze and improve import/export processes, programs, or projects to increase efficiency.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and government authorities to resolve compliance issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of trade compliance experience, preferably with an importer/exporter.
• Strong understanding of customs, import laws, and administration regulations.
• Ability to analyze technical data and articulate appropriate HTS classifications.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong computer research abilities for transaction verification.
