IMS Internal Audit Officer

About the role

The Integrated Management System (IMS) Internal Audit Officer will execute the approved audit plan, conduct scheduled and special internal audits across AL TAIF locations in the UAE, and support external audit preparation. The role ensures compliance with ISO standards, contractual requirements, and internal risk frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the integrated management system audit plan and conduct scheduled internal audits.
• Perform special audits as directed by senior quality management.
• Prepare audit checklists covering project contracts, ISO standards, EIAC and other relevant requirements.
• Document audit findings, propose opportunities for improvement (OFIs) and corrective actions.
• Maintain and track corrective action requests (CARs) and OFI logs to closure.
• Conduct site visits across multiple AL TAIF locations throughout the UAE.
• Assist in preparation for external audits and provide training/awareness to employees.
• Generate trend analysis reports for internal audit processes.
• Support risk management by identifying and reporting potential QHSE, legal, and contractual risks.

Required profile

• High School Diploma required; a bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in a quality auditing role.
• Auditor certification for current management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO/IEC 17025); Lead Auditor certification preferred.
• Familiarity with audit reference materials such as ASQ Quality 101, ISO 19011, ISO 31073, ISO 17043.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
• Understanding of ISO 19011 audit guidelines.
• Proficiency with ISO 31073 and ISO 17043 documentation.
• Lead Auditor certification (preferred).
