In-House Counsel – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Legaline Platform is seeking an In‑House Counsel to build its legal infrastructure from the ground up in Abu Dhabi. You will work closely with founders, senior management, product, technology and commercial teams to ensure the marketplace, AI products and operations comply with UAE federal law, Abu Dhabi regulations and relevant free‑zone frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day legal support to Legaline’s Abu Dhabi operations and wider UAE business.
• Advise on UAE federal law, Abu Dhabi regulations, ADGM frameworks and other relevant jurisdictions.
• Establish and maintain the company’s local legal and compliance framework as it scales.
• Draft, review, negotiate and manage commercial, technology, partnership, employment, SaaS, confidentiality and other agreements.
• Work with product and engineering teams to embed legal and compliance requirements into new features.
• Advise on AI‑related legal issues, data protection, privacy, cybersecurity and intellectual property.
• Monitor legislative developments in the UAE and translate them into practical recommendations.
• Coordinate with external counsel and specialist advisers when required.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer in the UAE with strong knowledge of the UAE legal environment.
• Practical experience in UAE corporate, commercial, technology, regulatory or in‑house legal work.
• Familiarity with ADGM and other UAE free‑zone frameworks (experience not limited to ADGM).
• Ability to provide clear, commercially practical advice and to work directly with founders and senior management.
• Excellent English and mandatory Arabic proficiency.
• Based in, or willing to relocate to, Abu Dhabi.
