Industrial Firefighter

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Firefighter to join JAHEZIYA’s Emergency Response Team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves providing industrial firefighting and emergency response support to protect personnel, assets, operations and the environment across our facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to fire, hazardous‑materials and other emergency incidents as an active member of the Emergency Response Team.
• Operate fire‑fighting equipment such as PPE, breathing apparatus, fire appliances, hose lines, hydrants, foam systems and other emergency tools.
• Control incident scenes, isolate hazards, support casualties and carry out recovery activities.
• Perform scheduled inspections of hydrants, hose reels, fire shelters, vehicles, PPE and breathing apparatus, reporting any defects or missing items.
• Monitor site activities, identify unsafe conditions and support fire‑prevention measures, including maintaining clear emergency access.
• Conduct Permit to Work (PTW) inspections, verify fire precautions and oversee hot‑work and other high‑risk activities.
• Participate in emergency drills, competency assessments, toolbox talks and HSE awareness programmes.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, equipment status and incident reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial firefighting, emergency response or related HSE roles.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a fire‑and‑rescue crew and follow incident command structures.
• Strong situational awareness and ability to identify and mitigate fire and process risks.
