Industrial Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Industrial Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and ensures that plant equipment and infrastructure remain in optimal condition. The role focuses on preventive and predictive maintenance to support continuous production.

Key responsibilities

• Implement maintenance policies, SOPs, and procedures across manufacturing activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment, utilities, air‑conditioning systems, and fire‑fighting & fire‑alarm systems.
• Operate and maintain utilities such as chillers, air‑handling units and air compressors.
• Support operators, assist with machine changeovers and be available for repairs on all shifts.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies using manuals and schematics.
• Maintain pumps, blowers, vessels, piping, conveyor belts and material‑handling equipment (forklift, pallet trucks, stackers, drum lifters).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs and instrumentation.
• Read P&ID drawings, understand interlocking logic and work on electrical utilities (PCC, MCC, breakers).
• Analyse repetitive breakdowns, identify root causes and coordinate corrective actions with vendors.
• Report spare part needs and support pest‑control and 5S/ISO initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in industrial plant maintenance, including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Willingness to work on all shifts and respond to emergency repairs.
• Ability to read technical drawings (P&ID) and follow manufacturer specifications.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and capability to coordinate with external vendors.
