Infrastructure Inspector – Wet Utilities

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Inspector – Wet Utilities to join its Abu Dhabi project team. The role involves inspecting and monitoring wet utility construction works such as stormwater, sewerage, potable water and irrigation networks to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor wet utility construction works, including stormwater, sewerage, potable water and irrigation networks.
• Conduct daily site inspections to verify compliance with drawings, method statements, ITPs and project requirements.
• Review and verify Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by contractors and ensure works are ready for inspection.
• Witness and inspect testing activities such as pressure testing, leakage testing and CCTV inspections.
• Identify non‑conforming works and coordinate corrective actions with engineers and contractors.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing results and quality‑related issues.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in wet utilities and infrastructure construction.
• Good knowledge of stormwater, sewerage, potable water and irrigation networks.
• Experience working with contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
