Infrastructure Technical Manager

About the role

Intertec Systems is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Technical Manager to lead enterprise-scale IT infrastructure operations in Dubai. The role suits a technically accomplished professional who manages hybrid IT environments, mission-critical infrastructure and large-scale enterprise operations, overseeing infrastructure strategy, operational excellence, disaster recovery, service delivery and technical governance while leading multi-tier technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end infrastructure operations across data centers, VMware environments, hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), servers, storage and backup solutions.
• Oversee enterprise networking, Windows and Linux administration, Active Directory and email infrastructure.
• Drive infrastructure lifecycle management, capacity planning, performance optimization and technology refresh initiatives.
• Manage major incidents, run root cause analysis (RCA), oversee problem management and ensure SLA and KPI compliance.
• Lead disaster recovery (DR) exercises, business continuity planning (BCP) and compliance initiatives.
• Mentor, manage and develop multi-tier technical teams supporting 24x7 operations.
• Drive technical governance, continuous service improvements and stakeholder engagement.

Required profile

• 20+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, including 5-7 years in senior technical leadership positions.
• Proven experience with ITIL-based service delivery, SLA management and major incident handling.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, problem-solving and customer-facing communication skills.
• GCC/UAE enterprise experience is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Strong hands-on expertise in VMware, enterprise data centers, HCI, storage, backup and networking technologies.
• Solid understanding of Windows, Linux, Active Directory, monitoring solutions, patch management and disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of ITIL service management, SLA governance, capacity planning and infrastructure operations.
