In‑Room Dining Order Taker – Luxury Hotel

About the role

We are looking for an In‑Room Dining Order Taker to join the luxury Rixos Premium Dubai JBR hotel. You will deliver prompt, personalized in‑room dining service, ensuring guest satisfaction and supporting F&B revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately take guest orders via phone, provide recommendations and upsell while following LQA standards.
• Handle cash and POS transactions with integrity, preparing cashiering forms and daily operational feedback.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of menus, wine lists, promotions and communicate any unavailable items with the culinary team.
• Support colleagues during busy periods, assist other outlets, and ensure timely delivery within Rixos service standards.

Required profile

• Good verbal, reading and writing proficiency in English and a professional appearance.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and guest‑service skills.
• Minimum 1–2 years experience in in‑room dining or a similar guest‑facing hotel role, preferably in a luxury environment.
• Ability to work high‑volume periods, extended hours and adapt to changing operational needs.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Experience with hotel POS systems and cash handling.
