In‑Room Dining Waiter – Luxury Hotel

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira is seeking a Waiter/Waitress for its In‑Room Dining team. You will deliver food and beverage service to guests in a timely, courteous manner while upholding the hotel’s luxury standards.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and verbally explain the In‑Room Dining concept, menu and beverage offerings to guests.
• Prepare and maintain mise en place for each shift, including cleaning and polishing equipment.
• Operate the POS system to process food and beverage orders accurately.
• Upsell services and products, enhancing guest experience and generating revenue.
• Process non‑cash payments such as MOHG Gift cards and follow billing procedures.
• Ensure dishes are presented according to hotel standards and guest specifications.
• Maintain equipment and utensils in good condition and perform side duties as assigned.
• Communicate guest preferences, allergies or special requests to kitchen and management.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a waiter/waitress, preferably in a high‑volume, luxury hotel environment.
• High school qualification; hospitality or business management diploma preferred.
• Ability to work long hours with a focus on operational excellence.
• Familiarity with restaurant POS and cashiering procedures.
• Knowledge of fine‑dining and casual‑dining service standards.
