Institutional Licensure Renewal Inspector (Higher Education)

About the role

The Institutional Licensure Renewal Inspector supports higher‑education institutions in the renewal of their institutional licensure (RIL). This senior‑level position involves conducting inspections, verifying key performance indicators, and ensuring compliance with UAE regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in licensure‑renewal inspections for higher‑education institutions across the UAE.
• Review institutional data, documentation, and previous corrective action plans before site visits.
• Verify KPI data, conduct evidence sampling, triangulation and assess data accuracy and reliability.
• Identify significant risks, anomalies, and potential regulatory breaches.
• Engage with institutional leadership during on‑site inspections and maintain clear, traceable evidence.
• Provide evidence‑based input for inspection reports and support corrective‑action‑plan verification.
• Escalate high‑risk findings to the client team and contribute to calibration, training and alignment activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Education, Quality Assurance, Higher‑Education Management, Public Policy or related field (Doctorate preferred for research‑intensive institutions).
• 5–7 years of experience in higher‑education quality assurance, accreditation, licensure or regulatory compliance.
• Experience working with regulators, accreditation bodies or government entities, preferably within the UAE.

• Strong understanding of higher‑education regulatory and accreditation environments.
• Evidence‑based and risk‑based inspection methodology.
• KPI and institutional data verification, sampling and triangulation.
• Ability to assess evidence for sufficiency, relevance and authenticity.
• Analytical reporting and risk identification capabilities.
