Instrumentation Designer L2

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Instrumentation Designer (Level 2) to join our engineering team on major Oil & Gas projects. The role involves designing and developing instrumentation systems, ensuring they meet project specifications, company standards and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for Oil & Gas projects.
• Prepare and update instrumentation design documentation and project deliverables.
• Apply engineering standards, design criteria, and company procedures throughout project execution.
• Utilise engineering software such as SmartPlant P&ID, SmartPlant 3D (SP3D), AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Support hydraulic calculations, thermal design activities and technical verification processes.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve design issues and ensure project consistency.
• Review and maintain technical documentation in accordance with project and client requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 10 to 15 years of experience in instrumentation design within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation design methodologies and engineering workflows.
