Insurance Specialist – Business Banking

About the role

The Insurance Specialist will manage end‑to‑end insurance and investment sales for Business Banking clients, ensuring a seamless and unbiased service experience. This role supports the BB team in generating referrals, cross‑selling wealth products, and delivering market insights.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and harvest insurance sales opportunities for the Business Banking (BB) team and Relationship Managers (RMs).
• Present investment and insurance product value propositions to BB clients and profile each customer to understand their needs.
• Promote insurance and investment solutions, generating fee‑earning revenue (FER) through cross‑selling.
• Provide regular market updates, trend analysis, and product education to the BB team.
• Own the end‑to‑end sale and service process for insurance products, including upselling, cross‑selling, and handling customer complaints.
• Collaborate with the I&I Proposition Team, back‑office, and related departments (Legal, Compliance, Investment teams) to resolve issues and improve processes.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of client profiling and risk analysis (CPRA) to assess client needs.
• Specialized knowledge of Mashreq’s investment and insurance product suite.
• Proven ability to work with BB teams to generate referrals and achieve revenue targets.
• Awareness of global economic trends and their impact on investment vehicles.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation with a focus on reducing insurance attrition.
