Insurance Specialist

About the role

The Insurance Specialist will manage and coordinate insurance requirements across projects and business operations, ensuring appropriate coverage, regulatory compliance, and effective claims management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate insurance requirements for assigned projects and business activities.
• Review project contracts to identify insurance obligations, coverage limits and associated risks.
• Coordinate placement, renewal, amendment and administration of insurance policies such as Contractors’ All Risks, Professional Indemnity, Third‑Party Liability and Property.
• Review insurance certificates and policies submitted by contractors, consultants, suppliers and service providers for compliance.
• Maintain comprehensive insurance registers with policy details, premiums, renewal dates and claims.
• Monitor policy expiry dates to ensure continuous coverage.
• Coordinate with brokers, insurers, loss adjusters and internal stakeholders on insurance matters.
• Support evaluation and selection of appropriate coverage based on risk exposure.
• Manage insurance claims from notification through assessment, negotiation and settlement.
• Identify insurance gaps, exclusions and non‑compliance, recommending corrective actions.
• Prepare insurance reports, claims summaries and risk assessments for management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in insurance policy administration and claims handling, preferably within construction or real‑estate projects.
• Strong knowledge of insurance contracts, regulatory requirements and market practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams such as Risk, Contracts, Finance, Legal and HSE.
