Interior Design Inspector – Site Supervision

About the role

Khatib & Alami is seeking an experienced Interior Design (ID) Inspector to join its Dubai site‑supervision team. The role involves inspecting interior fit‑out and finishing works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and UAE authority requirements throughout project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections of partitions, ceilings, flooring, joinery, wall finishes and FF&E installations.
• Verify that all works follow approved shop drawings, material submittals and project specifications.
• Monitor workmanship quality, identify non‑conformances and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Review material deliveries, mock‑ups and installation quality before approval.
• Maintain inspection records, daily reports and site documentation.
• Support snagging, de‑snagging, testing and handover activities.
• Coordinate with contractors, architects, MEP teams and other stakeholders to resolve site issues.
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, HSE requirements and Dubai authority standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in interior design site supervision or inspection, with mandatory UAE consultancy experience.
• Strong knowledge of luxury residential, high‑rise, hospitality or commercial projects.
• Excellent understanding of interior finishes, joinery, FF&E and fit‑out works.
• Ability to interpret architectural and interior drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with BIM/Revit is an advantage.
• Strong reporting, coordination and communication skills.
