Interior Designer (Residential, Commercial & Hospitality)

About the role

We are seeking a creative and detail‑oriented Interior Designer to join PlaceUp in Dubai. The role involves developing interior concepts for residential, commercial and hospitality projects from brief through to execution, ensuring aesthetic, functional and commercial objectives are met.

Key responsibilities

• Develop creative interior design concepts based on client requirements, briefs and budgets.
• Prepare mood boards, material palettes, space plans, layouts and detailed design presentations.
• Create furniture, finishes, lighting, colour schemes and other interior elements.
• Produce 2D drawings, 3D visualisations/renders and detailed design documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers and other consultants.
• Conduct site visits to review progress and ensure design intent is maintained.
• Review shop drawings, material samples, finishes and mock‑ups.
• Select and coordinate furniture, fixtures, fittings, materials and accessories.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, technical requirements and project standards.
• Present design concepts to clients, incorporate feedback and support implementation and handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or a related field.
• Relevant interior design experience with a strong portfolio covering residential, commercial and/or hospitality projects.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and work within budgets.
• Strong attention to detail, creativity and problem‑solving abilities.
