Internal Audit Manager (UAE National)

About the role

We are hiring for a leading insurance organisation in Dubai to strengthen its internal audit and assurance function. The role is open to an Emirati professional who will own risk‑based audit activities, evaluate internal controls and governance frameworks, and provide insights to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage risk‑based internal audit assignments across the organisation.
• Develop and execute audit plans aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes and governance frameworks.
• Identify control gaps and provide practical, value‑adding recommendations.
• Prepare clear audit reports and present findings to senior management.
• Monitor management actions and ensure timely closure of audit recommendations.
• Partner with business functions and senior stakeholders to strengthen the overall control environment.
• Ensure audit activities comply with regulatory requirements and professional standards.

Required profile

• Emirati national with a valid Family Book.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Audit or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of internal audit experience, preferably in insurance or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of internal audit methodologies, risk management, internal controls and governance.
• Proven experience managing audit assignments from planning through reporting and follow‑up.
• Professional certification such as CIA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent is an advantage.
