Internal Auditor (Insurance Brokerage)

About the role

Edge Insurance Brokers LLC is seeking a full‑time Internal Auditor to strengthen its governance and control framework in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The role reports directly to the Partners and the annual audit report is submitted to the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE).

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the annual risk‑based internal audit plan.
• Provide independent assurance over governance, risk management and internal controls.
• Evaluate financial reporting and review accounting practices.
• Ensure compliance with CBUAE regulations, including AML/CFT and Targeted Financial Sanctions, and internal policies.
• Identify key risk areas, assess control effectiveness and validate remediation actions on regulatory findings.
• Report findings and recommendations to the Partners and submit the annual audit report to CBUAE.
• Collaborate with all departments and communicate audit results clearly to management and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional certification (ACCA, ACA, CPA or CIA) highly preferred.
• Audit experience, preferably within insurance companies, reinsurers or insurance brokers.
• Strong knowledge of AML/CFT and sanctions frameworks.
• Working knowledge of IIA Standards and risk‑based audit methodology.
• Exceptional analytical ability, attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
