Internal Auditor

About the role

We are seeking an Internal Auditor to join our Internal Audit team in Abu Dhabi. The role will support independent, risk‑based audit engagements, assessing internal controls, risk management and business processes. You will work closely with senior auditors and business stakeholders throughout planning, fieldwork, reporting and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning and execution of audit engagements, defining objectives, scope, risks and control environments.
• Conduct process walkthroughs to understand operations and workflows.
• Perform detailed testing of internal controls, financial transactions, operational processes and system‑generated data.
• Review documentation, validate transactions, observe processes and test automated controls.
• Apply analytical techniques to identify control gaps, irregularities and inefficiencies.
• Prepare comprehensive audit working papers with evidence, findings and conclusions.
• Draft audit observations, conduct root‑cause analysis and formulate recommendations.
• Engage with process owners to gather information, clarify findings and discuss preliminary results.
• Maintain organized audit documentation in line with quality standards.
• Support the use of data analytics, audit software and digital audit techniques.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the Internal Audit function.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of professional experience in internal audit, preferably in steel, cement or consulting.
• Big Four experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of internal audit methodologies, internal controls and risk management.
• Experience in audit fieldwork, control testing, documentation and report preparation.
• Professional proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Chartered Accountant (CA), CIA or ACA qualification preferred.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree required.
