Internal Auditor – Real Estate

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Internal Auditor to join a semi‑government real estate developer in Abu Dhabi. The role will conduct audit fieldwork across various business lines, helping to identify and mitigate risks while strengthening internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing the risk‑based Annual Audit Plan by gathering data and assessing operational and compliance risks.
• Execute audit fieldwork, including walkthroughs, control testing, sample selection, and documentation of findings.
• Prepare organized working papers that evidence audit work and support conclusions.
• Draft sections of audit reports, highlighting observations, root causes, and recommendations for senior review.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in internal/external audit, risk advisory, internal controls, or project audit, preferably in real estate, construction, infrastructure, hospitality, or other asset‑intensive sectors.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of IIA Standards.
• Familiarity with the COSO Framework.
• Understanding of real estate and property development regulations.
• Fundamentals of risk assessment and control design.
