International Student Coordinator

About the role

City University Ajman is looking for a motivated and organized International Student Coordinator to support international students in their academic journey. The role covers recruitment, registration targets, retention, pastoral care and coordination with schools, associations, corporations and government organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Drive student recruitment, meet registration targets and maintain the retention rate set by management
• Provide pastoral care for international students
• Build and maintain relationships with schools, associations, corporations and government bodies, and organise activities and short courses and training
• Assist admission inquiries, convert them into admissions, complete the UMS Admission Form and process payments through the Accounts Department
• Collect documents according to course and file checklists, and keep records in the student database
• Assist with formal and informal student feedback, update course results in an Excel sheet and maintain attendance records
• Register students in courses, units and papers
• Keep parents informed of events, monthly attendance reports, grades and assignment deadlines, and report issues and complaints to the Director of Enrollment
• Produce daily enrollment reports, coordinate with Accounts on receivables and attend meetings when required

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• At least 1 year of experience in student recruitment, admissions or a related role, preferably in a university or educational setting
• Fluency in English is a must
• Demonstrated passion for international student recruitment and engagement

Required skills

• Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant database management software
