Interventional Cardiologist

About the role

A reputed healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking a highly qualified, experienced and dedicated Interventional Cardiologist. The ideal candidate has extensive experience diagnosing and managing cardiovascular conditions, performing cardiac catheterisation and providing advanced interventional cardiac care.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, evaluate and manage patients with a wide range of cardiovascular diseases and conditions.
• Perform interventional procedures such as coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and coronary stent placement.
• Perform cardiac catheterisation and other advanced diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures.
• Manage patients with acute coronary syndromes, myocardial infarction and other complex cardiac conditions.
• Assess patients for appropriate interventional treatment and interpret ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests and coronary angiograms.
• Provide pre- and post-procedure care, manage procedure complications and give emergency cardiac care to critically ill patients.
• Work with cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, nurses and other professionals, maintain medical records and comply with hospital protocols and infection control guidelines.
• Take part in clinical meetings, medical education and continuous professional development.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Recognised postgraduate qualification in Cardiology.
• Fellowship or specialised training in Interventional Cardiology.
• Proven clinical experience performing interventional procedures and managing complex coronary artery disease and acute cardiac emergencies.
• Strong clinical judgement, communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
