Investment Banker

About the role

AHS, a Dubai-based group focused on ultra-luxury real estate development, strategic investments and high-value ventures, is looking for an Investment Banker to strengthen its investment function. The role leads the financial analysis, valuation and execution behind investment, acquisition and financing decisions, covering the full transaction cycle from screening and modelling through due diligence, structuring and execution, to post-closing monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate investment opportunities (land and asset acquisitions, development projects, joint ventures, strategic partnerships) against the Group's criteria, and conduct market, sector and competitor research.
• Build and maintain financial models (development feasibility, project cash flow, returns, three-statement) and perform valuations (DCF, comparables, residual land value).
• Analyse ROI, IRR, NPV, equity multiple and profitability, and run sensitivity and scenario analyses.
• Support acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures from initial offer to closing, prepare term sheets and offer letters, and negotiate with senior management.
• Coordinate with Legal, Finance and external advisers, and analyse capital structures and financing options (bank debt, project finance, equity).
• Lead financial, commercial and operational due diligence, identify and mitigate risks, and prepare investment committee papers, teasers and information memoranda.
• Monitor portfolio performance against business cases and maintain a deal database.
• Ensure compliance with the Group's investment policy, delegation of authority, KYC, anti-money laundering and confidentiality requirements.

Required profile

• Up to 7-10 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, M&A, transaction advisory, private equity or real estate investment.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics or Business; CFA, CA or MBA (Finance) preferred.
• Proven experience building financial models and valuations from scratch and supporting live transactions.
• Real estate, development or GCC market experience is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced financial modelling and valuation (DCF, IRR, NPV, comparables, residual land value)
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; Argus, Bloomberg, Capital IQ or similar tools are an advantage
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking and clear communication for senior management and boards
