IT Asset Manager

About the role

The IT Asset Manager will own the full lifecycle of hardware and software assets, manage vendor relationships and technology contracts, and ensure compliance with governance requirements. This role works closely with Finance, Procurement and service owners to control costs and maintain accurate inventories.

Key responsibilities

• Manage IT assets from procurement through disposal, maintaining accurate hardware and software inventories.
• Implement asset policies, conduct periodic audits, and ensure compliance with licensing and SLA commitments.
• Coordinate with vendors, negotiate contracts, track renewals, and optimise service costs.
• Validate vendor invoices, monitor expenses, and contribute to budget planning.
• Produce ITSM and asset utilisation reports, analyse trends and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in IT asset and vendor management.
• Proven experience managing contracts, licensing agreements and vendor SLAs.
• Strong organisational, analytical, reporting and stakeholder coordination skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ITSM platforms.
• Experience with asset management systems.
• Knowledge of ITIL frameworks (ITIL preferred).
• Familiarity with Microsoft licensing or enterprise agreement management.
