IT Business Partner - Automotive

About the role

Al Rostamani Group, a diversified conglomerate with a strong presence in general trading, automobiles and heavy equipment, travel, financial services, property management, construction, infrastructure development and IT services, is hiring an IT Business Partner for its automotive entities in Dubai. The role manages day-to-day relationships, oversees projects, demands and IT services, takes part in shaping tech roadmaps and acts as escalation point for major issues.

Key responsibilities

• Inculcate the IT business relationship framework in automotive entities and mediate conflicting stakeholder requirements
• Establish customer priorities for new or changed products and services, and handle complaints through a formal process
• Track customer and technology trends, automotive innovations and their technical and commercial viability
• Build strong relationships with automotive vendors and vendors of core solutions such as portals and mobile apps
• Map business processes to IT initiatives, establish the master IT project portfolio and prioritize it
• Manage risks and issues, oversee IT service operations and SLAs with internal and external vendors
• Enforce central IT policies, standards and change request flows, and act as change manager for IT adoption
• Develop and review architecture documents, manage a multi-disciplinary IT team (on-site and offshore) and act as product manager for the core solution
• Take part in IT strategy and budgeting, evaluate project benefits, capture lessons learned and handle matrix reporting to the entity's GM and central IT

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in an IT field
• 8-12 years of IT and business/industry experience, including 4-6 years in a similar role in the UAE
• Excellent business acumen in the automotive industry and knowledge of vehicle sales, spare parts, services, CRM and finance
• Ability to deliver presentations, training sessions and demos

Required skills

• Good technical knowledge of solution selection and maintenance
• Database management and report building with SQL Report Builder
• Knowledge of automotive solutions such as Autoline, Autoline Drive, SAP DBM and TitanDMS is an added value
• Analytical, communication, leadership and business relationship management skills
