IT Coordinator – Infrastructure & Cloud Management

About the role

The IT Coordinator will lead the operational management and future expansion of Vopak's IT infrastructure and cloud‑based systems at the Fujairah terminal. The role ensures high network availability, robust disaster recovery, and alignment with global IT standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operational management and expansion of IT infrastructure and cloud systems.
• Prepare the annual IT infrastructure budget in coordination with Finance.
• Manage vendor negotiations, contracts, SLAs and AMCs.
• Maintain high network uptime using redundant ISP links, SD‑WAN and continuous monitoring tools.
• Design, document and test high‑availability failover, off‑site recovery and cloud backup procedures.
• Coordinate installation, configuration and upgrades of servers, firewalls, network devices and shared software.
• Oversee 24/7 stability, performance and uptime of physical/virtual servers and core applications.
• Supervise IT helpdesk operations and provide fast technical support.
• Enforce access controls, cybersecurity protocols and data protection strategies.
• Ensure IT governance, risk management and audit readiness across business units.

Required profile

• Bachelor's in IT engineering with at least three years of relevant experience (or IT degree with five years).
• IT certifications are preferred.
• Proficient with computer programs such as spreadsheets and word processing.
• Strong awareness of customer needs and excellent oral and written English.
• Team‑player attitude.
