IT Security Analyst (Remote, Part‑time)

About the role

The IT Security Analyst will monitor, assess and improve the security posture of the organisation's systems and networks. Working remotely on a part‑time basis, you will review security alerts, investigate incidents and recommend risk‑mitigation actions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform vulnerability assessments and support security audits across applications, infrastructure and networks.
• Review security alerts, investigate incidents and provide remediation recommendations.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security controls and documentation.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in cybersecurity and information security with ability to identify threats and assess risks.
• Experience with network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS and secure network architecture.
• Knowledge of application security, secure coding practices and common vulnerabilities.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP) and relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH) is a plus.
