IT Support Engineer – Dubai

About the role

We are seeking a skilled IT Support Engineer to join Zahr Freighters in Dubai. The role involves providing first‑ and second‑level technical assistance, maintaining hardware and software assets, and ensuring reliable network connectivity for all employees.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑ and second‑level IT support to staff, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and system issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners and other peripherals.
• Troubleshoot LAN, Wi‑Fi, internet and network connectivity problems.
• Set up and manage user accounts, email accounts and access permissions.
• Support Microsoft Windows, Office, Microsoft 365 and other business applications.
• Perform software installations, updates, patches and routine system maintenance.
• Monitor IT equipment, maintain an asset register and report recurring problems.
• Assist with data backup, recovery procedures and basic cybersecurity controls.
• Document technical issues, troubleshooting steps and solutions.
• Coordinate with external vendors for service and equipment upgrades.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Previous experience in an IT Support Engineer, IT Technician or similar role is preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and documentation abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple support requests and prioritize issues.
