IT Support Engineer

About the role

IT People Consulting is looking for an IT Support Engineer to join its team in the UAE. The role suits a technically proficient person who can deliver reliable IT support, fix hardware and software problems and keep IT infrastructure running smoothly. The successful candidate supports end users, maintains desktop systems, manages Microsoft 365 environments, troubleshoots network connectivity and keeps systems secure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first-level and second-level support for hardware, software and network issues.
• Install, configure and maintain computers, laptops, printers and other IT equipment.
• Troubleshoot Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office and business software.
• Manage user accounts, password resets and access permissions via Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID.
• Support Microsoft 365 apps such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and SharePoint.
• Diagnose LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP and network connectivity problems.
• Log, track and resolve incidents using ITSM tools, and maintain IT asset records.
• Perform software installs, updates, patch management and routine maintenance.
• Support endpoint security, antivirus, backups and IT security policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience in IT support, desktop support, service desk or technical support roles.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and good communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune, Azure or remote support tools is an advantage.

Required skills

• Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office.
• Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, Wi-Fi and VPN.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management or ManageEngine.
