IT Support Specialist

About the role

Royal American School is seeking an IT Support professional to join its IT Department and provide technical assistance to teachers, students, and administrative staff. The role involves maintaining school technology systems, supporting classroom equipment, managing user accounts, and ensuring smooth operation of IT services in a fast‑paced educational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to teachers, students, and administrative staff for IT‑related issues.
• Troubleshoot and maintain computers, laptops, printers, smart boards, and other IT equipment.
• Manage and maintain school networks, Wi‑Fi systems, switches, and access points.
• Support educational platforms and school IT systems, including Microsoft 365 and Teams.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and ensure proper operation of classroom technology.
• Monitor network performance, resolve connectivity issues, and coordinate with external vendors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• Previous IT support experience, preferably in a school or educational environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, and a solid command of English.

Required skills

• Windows operating systems.
• Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams.
• Networking fundamentals, Wi‑Fi, switches and basic firewall configuration.
• Printers and classroom technology (smart boards, etc.).
• Hardware and software installation and configuration.
