IT System Engineer – Naval Vessel Support

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT System Engineer to join our team and support the installation, configuration, integration, testing, and maintenance of IT systems onboard naval vessels. The role involves hardware inspections, software and network setup, and ensuring seamless integration with other shipboard equipment while providing on‑site technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hardware inspections and install IT equipment on naval vessels.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain software systems and network infrastructure.
• Verify proper operation and integration of installed systems with other onboard equipment.
• Conduct system tests, support commissioning and acceptance activities.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of IT systems and equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, database, and network issues.
• Provide on‑site technical assistance to customers and project stakeholders.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and service reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or related field, or equivalent technical qualification with hands‑on experience.
• Previous hands‑on experience in IT systems installation, field service, maintenance or technical support.
• Ability to work independently, manage tasks, and collaborate in multidisciplinary international teams.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, proactive and adaptable attitude.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including onboard vessels.
